SKY-WATCHER
EQ5 PRO SERIES...
INSTRUMENTATION FOR THE SERIOUS AMATEUR ASTRONOMER
We 21st century
amateur astronomers not only revel in the awe and wonderment of the
heavens as did the ancients, but today's technology allows us to also
perform real science, making discoveries that advance the body of human
knowledge. But before we take ourselves too seriously, let us not forget
astronomy is a blast! Yup, it's a veritable fun factory for folks like
us. We travel on star beams back in time to exotic worlds. Why not
travel first class? A Sky-Watcher telescope will transport you to the
stars in style with all the modern accoutrements, high-tech performance,
and value you are looking for. Sky-Watcher's many unique design touches
are quite impressive. You will be proud to own a telescope from
Sky-Watcher, the global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of
astronomical equipment.

The Sky-Watcher 200N EQ5 PRO manual
telescope is a beginning astronomer’s dream. The 200mm (8") reflector is
perhaps the best loved and most often used telescope in the history of
modern amateur astronomy. In terms of reflector telescopes' an 8"
aperture is regarded as the stepping off point for serious astronomical
study of the heavens. This Newtonian reflector delivers excellent
imaging quality suitable for viewing the solar-system and deep-space

Sky-Watcher EQ5 PRO Newtonian
reflectors offer modestly large apertures that provide tremendous light
gathering capability and reasonable portability, and excellent
imaging quality suitable for viewing the solar-system or deep-space.
Their large apertures are superbly capable of capturing faint deep-space
phenomenon like galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters which require
considerable resolution to discern fine detail. GO TO operation makes it
easy to automatically locate and track over 30,000 sky objects.

When you move up to a 254mm (10”) aperture, it can be like rediscovering
your favorite astronomical objects all over again. Bigger,
brighter, images! In addition, there are all those new favorites
waiting to be discovered now that you have the aperture. Its large 254mm
aperture will allow you to capture faint galaxies, nebulae, and star
clusters they way you want to see them. The 10” SW 254N will hit the
sweet spot for many amateur astronomers searching for large aperture,
modest cost, and GO TO capability.

Newtonian reflectors and refractors. It takes up less space and is
easier to handle and transport. It is also known for excellent optical
quality. The SW 8" SCT will provide razor sharp, high resolution images
suitable for passionate lifelong engagement in sky exploration. The
amateur astronomer also benefits from computerized object location and
tracking of over 30,000 astronomical objects. All things considered, the
SW 8" SCT EQ5 PRO will strike the perfect balance for many amateur
astronomers between cost, aperture, and ease of use.

The 11" optical tube is easily manageable as is the mount and tripod.
Compared to a 10", 11", or 12" one piece, fork-mounted SCT design, the
SW 11" is vastly more manageable to lift, set up, and transport. A
perfect example of why the equatorial mount has the advantage in
enabling individual amateur astronomers to comfortably operate larger
aperture telescopes. If you have ever lifted a large one-piece
fork-mounted SCT a half dozen times, or so, you will appreciate the
difference. Save your back, buy a SW 11"!
